It takes time for holds to arrive when requested from the catalog. The time it takes depends on if the item is on the shelf at the library where the item is coming from and if the library is open when the request is placed.  If an item is on the shelf and coming from the other campus (Bedford-->Lowell or Lowell-->Bedford) it should take about 2 days.  Inter-campus mail is picked up in the morning around 10 o'clock so requests made after that will not be picked up until the next day.

If the item is coming from another library in the state it will generally take about 2-5 days, but may take longer.  If you have an immediate need for the material please talk with a reference librarian who can assist you in determining the best way to proceed. The library staff will email you at your MCC email address to let you know when the item arrives. If you want to track the items progress you can login to your patron account with your library barcode and password.  If you can not remember your library password it can be reset.
