In the library, patrons may need to place a hold to read popular materials if we do not have enough copies for everyone. Just like regular books, publishers only allow libraries to check out an eBook or eAudiobook to a limited number of people at once. If an item is checked out and no copies are available, patrons must wait until the checkout period expires for the people using the book. The check-in happens seamlessly and patrons don’t have to remember to return the items.

Please feel free to contact a librarian if you have other questions about how this works or if you need help accessing a certain book.
