A source is the document you have found.  When using Noodlebib to create your works cited page the first question is what type of source are you citing.  When using EBSCO and Gale databases there is often an article summary screen which can be used to identify the elements needed to create your citation.  Keep a copy of it along with the full text of your article.  Label it so you can identify it easily later.
